How do I obtain a seller representative?

Prior to receiving representation from a real estate license you must enter into a written seller representation agreement1.  This agreement clearly explains the duties your representative must provide throughout the duration of the agreement.  Virginia law requires that all brokerage agreements include the duration of the agreement, details of the compensation to be paid to the brokerage firm and a description of the service to be provided.  We suggest you schedule a brief meeting with your REALTOR® to discuss these details.
 

What is the advantage of a seller representative?

A seller representative works in the best interests of their clients.  This includes the duties to keep private information confidential, to diligently work to find a buyer on the terms of the brokerage agreement and to always promote the interests of the seller.  The seller who chooses a Funkhouser Real Estate Group associate will receive all of these loyalties in addition to the latest tools to market their property.
